Pumpkin Patch 2014!

So since I took lots of pictures at the pumpkin patch we went to on Saturday I thought I'd do a post about it. Saturday we got together with all of my family and went to the Hee Haw Farm in Lindon. I don't think I had ever been to a pumpkin patch so I was kind of excited, and its always fun to hang out with all the family. Plus, Chelsea's parents were in town so they were able to come with us too! When we first got there we did the hayride. It lasted all of about 5 minutes, if that, and everyone got hay all over their pants, but its all part of the fun! (Mom, dad, Michael, I got a picture of you guys but didn't realize two people had their eyes shut, so i'm not going to post that.)

Next we checked out the petting zoo area. There were goats, chickens, sheep, pigs, cows, and I think that was about it. Ashton wasn't quite sure what to think, he kind of just wandered around.

While Ashton was checking out the animals and going down the slide with Rory, the rest of the family was watching a 1400 pound pumpkin being lifted by a crane and dropped on a fridge. I don't have the video of it, but it was very loud and apparently made the fridge pretty much disappear.
Part of the tickets we bought was a chance to ride the animal train, a lawn mower pulling little animal carts. I don't think the carts were made to hold multiple adults, but many of us decided to hop on the train with Ashton. We were worried the mower would get stuck, and we almost did in a little sand area of the route, but the mower pulled thru, thank heaven!

And for all the rest of the pictures! Ashton loved sitting on the random tractors that were sitting around, and grandpa was more than willing to help him with that!

Overall I thought it was really fun, more so just to see Ashton's reaction to everything. Thanks to all my family for humoring us and coming! I know it wasn't the ideal fun spot for all of us adults, but hopefully everyone still had fun!

The Big Catch-Up

So time to play catch up again! Obviously I've been a little distracted! So Ashton is 14 months old now! He started walking when he was 13 months and he is just a little cruiser now! He loves to explore and I am definitely getting my exercise in every day, he keeps me busy and on the move! Our yard is complete and it looks amazing, again BIG thanks to my dad! I've decided now that winter is quickly approaching I will get focused more on decorating and organizing the house since that was put on the back burner. We absolutely love living here in Layton and are very much enjoying all the time we get to spend with family now! We also have great neighbors and fun people in our ward. We definitely feel blessed! Here's some pictures of what we've been up to lately (This truly will be picture overload!).

As for Ashton's first birthday! I had full intentions of having two parties with each of our families but after having the first party it ended up that the second one didn't happen. I will let the progression of pictures explain what happened that night. :)

As you can see, once we lit the candle it was pretty traumatic. Hopefully by next year he'll be lots more excited! And just a couple more for Halloween!
