8 - 10 Months!

Wow, time has flown by, I can't believe its been 3 months since I did a post! There's been a lot going on so finally, I will do an update on us, and our little Ashton! As for us... we are finally in our house! We absolutely love it. We often say how much we love the house and how we don't regret this big purchase at all! We are pretty much settled in, there are still boxes and lots of organizing to do, but we have put lots of attention on our yard so the boxes and organizing were put to the side. My dad has been a HUGE help with our yard, we definitely wouldn't have a yard right now if it weren't for him. For a few weeks he was coming almost every day and working on moving dirt, doing retaining walls, sprinklers, and all sorts of stuff. It was fun to have him here a lot! And I think Ashton really liked it too! We were able to get our sod in about 2 weeks ago and it is starting to look pretty good! We are really grateful for all the help we had, my parents, Rory's parents, and my uncle Paul came too. We sure do have a great family! As you can tell, I haven't decorated yet. Hopefully I can get started on that soon, it is starting to drive me nuts!! Other things that have been going on with us... Laurie and Michael both got married! We are so excited for them, and are thrilled to have Ryall and Chelsea join the family! I got a few pictures from both weddings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For the Fourth of July we were able to go down south. It worked out great that my family was staying the their cabin in Spanish Fork canyon, and Rory's family was staying at a KOA in Springville so we were able to split our time with the families. Thursday night we went to an Orem Owlz baseball game. Friday we went to the Ashton reunion. Saturday we had breakfast and dinner with Rory's family then went to the lake and 4 wheeling with my family. And Sunday we just hung out at the cabin and played games and chatted with everyone. It was a great weekend and so fun that we were able to see both sides of the family! And Ashton was so good all weekend, slept all night at the cabin which I was very grateful for!

• Ashton is now a great crawler. His preferred method is still the army crawl, but since we've been putting him down on grass he has developed the normal crawl and is starting to do that more as of late.
• He can sit all by himself, pull himself up to things, and can stand for a few seconds on his own. He loves to climb things, if I let him I'm sure he would just climb on me all day long.
• He still eats baby food much better than a bottle. He loves his food, and has recently started eating little baby cookies and seems to really like those.
• He still won't drink out of a sippy cup, but I have figured out that he will drink out of a normal cup much better! Maybe we will be skipping the whole sippy cup thing altogether.
• He is still a mama's boy, but if I am not in the room he doesn't absolutely great with pretty much anyone.
• He says da da and ma ma but doesn't realize what he's saying.
• He has started to wave saying hi, and bye bye. Every time I go and get his carseat he starts waving bye bye.
• He loves being outside, I think that's his happy place. :)
• Sometimes he likes to pull his hair and he doesn't act like it hurts at all. He doesn't have very much hair still so hopefully he doesn't pull too much out!
• He likes to play with his ears while he drinks his bottles.
